Mind, Body, and Spirit - The RecPlex

The Leslie C. Quick Jr. Recreation Complex is re-opening Saturday, November 21, 2020, to on-campus students, faculty, and staff with a 2019-2020 membership.

*The pool, hot tub, showers, locker rooms, field house, lower level fitness and multi-purpose rooms are closed until further notice. Towel service, yoga mats, guest passes, and equipment rentals will not be available.

All members must have a Stag Card and a face covering. Face coverings must be worn at all times while in the RecPlex. The hot tub, water fountains, towel service, yoga mats, guest passes, and equipment rentals will not be available until further notice.

Whether you are an occasional or passionate athlete, the state-of-the-art Fairfield RecPlex will have what our students are looking for in a modern, spacious setting. Our students’ lives outside the classroom matter to us because their well-being is the foundation for a rewarding life and an important part of Fairfield’s future legacy.

The moment you step inside, you will know this is a new and special place. From an indoor track and large cardio training suite to ample rooms for classes, and meeting spaces the new-and-improved RecPlex is a great place for students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and friends.

Club Sports

At Fairfield University, there are over 19 club sports for students to choose from. Club sports are organized and managed by students with the Associate Director of Recreation overseeing membership and dues.

Fairfield Fit

Fairfield Fit is available to supplement your weekly routine with exciting fitness classes (Zumba, Pilates, Yoga). All classes are free to all RecPlex members.

Hours & Membership

The RecPlex will not be accepting any new memberships at this time. Members who have paid 2019-2020 membership fees will have four months of access to the RecPlex, at no additional charge during the 2020-21 academic year. We will be phasing in members, starting with students, faculty, and staff in the fall.


Intramural sports are an integral part of student life at Fairfield University. There are more than 25 different intramural activities, including full seasons, one day, or weekend tournaments. Separate divisions include men, women, and co-ed participation. The Intramural program is administered by student supervisors and officiated by student employees.


The Fairfield University Aquatics Center is an 8-lane 25-meter pool with whirlpool. Men and women's locker rooms are available with showers. The Aquatics Center is home to Fairfield University's Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams.
