Facilities

Our facilities say a lot about what is important to us.
Attractive, modernized facilities are essential to the viability of Fairfield Athletics.

Recruitment

When recruits decide on a college, facilities rank in the top three factors of their decision. Great facilities show prospective student-athletes — and coaches — that the University is publicly committed to its Athletics programs, and that their role is important.

Fan Experience

Great facilities enhance the experience of both fans and student-athletes.

For more information about facility naming opportunities, please contact the Office of the Director of Development for Athletics & Recreation at (203)-254-4000, ext. 2474.

NCAA Donor Rules

The Lyons-Lademan Athletic Fund operates under the auspices of the University's Advancement division. Its mission is to assist the athletic department in providing resources for supplemental expenses while maintaining adherence to NCAA rules and regulations.

Representatives of Fairfield's athletic interests (alumni, athletic donors, friends) are expressly prohibited from any form of contact (in person, written, by phone, by e-mail, on- or off-campus, or other) with a prospective student-athlete or the prospect's relatives or legal guardians. If there are questions about this NCAA policy, please contact the office of athletic compliance at (203) 254-4000, ext. 2879.

Upcoming Events

From alumni versus student-athlete scrimmages to cocktail receptions, Friends of Fairfield Athletics host several events throughout the year to connect alumni, parents, and friends with our current teams’ coaches and student-athletes. These events are hosted to share our appreciation with our loyal supporters, celebrate the successes of our Varsity teams, and support the future of Fairfield Athletics. There has Never Been a Better Time to Be More.

Dear Friend of Fairfield Athletics,

Thank you for choosing to give back and support our student-athletes and coaches this year! Your involvement as a donor helps our coaches and staff create a culture where our student-athletes learn to Care MORE, Risk MORE, and Give MORE than others think wise or possible. It is our primary objective to provide our Stags with a championship caliber experience in every facet of their Fairfield education while ensuring they are “Built for Life” when they graduate. As a Friend of Fairfield Athletics, we are grateful for your consistent and unwavering support of that mission. We have achieved a great deal but have so much more to accomplish and I believe our best days are still ahead of us.

Read recent accomplishments and Fairfield Athletics news.

Our Stags are showing they do CARE about making the world a better place and improving the lives of others by partnering with several deserving non-profits. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Fairfield Athletics teamed up with The Cancer Couch Foundation with each fall sports program hosting a “Herd for a Cure” game. Additionally, Men’s Lacrosse traveled to Johns Hopkins on October 16 as part of the Headstrong Foundation – Nick Colleluori Classic and Men’s Basketball faced Rutgers in an exhibition on October 30 with proceeds benefiting Team LeGrand of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

Looking ahead to November, we have much to be thankful for as we celebrated the opening of our $51M, 100% donor-funded Leo D. Mahoney Arena on campus. Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis made her home-coaching debut as our women’s basketball program tipped off on Friday, November 18 against Stonehill, with Coach Jay Young and men’s basketball set to face Saint Peter’s on Saturday, December 3. Season ticket sales have been fantastic thus far with over 700 tickets sold and a goal to reach 1,000. If you have purchased tickets already – thank you. If you have not, please contact our ticket office at 203-254-4335 or visit fairfieldstags.com/tix to get your tickets and be part of the on-campus excitement this inaugural season!

Our ability to compete at the highest level and do so in a meaningful way is possible because of the difference you make for Fairfield Athletics. The financial support we receive from our “Friends of Fairfield Athletics” help provide the necessary resources for our teams to compete at a championship level. Your philanthropy is crucial to continue our ability to operate a first-class NCAA Division I Athletics program and enhance the overall student-athlete experience.

If you have not made a gift, please consider pledging your support to our Built for Life Fund or your favorite Sport Fund by visiting fairfield.edu/giveathletics.

Thank you again for being part of our Stags Family and choosing to Care MORE, Risk MORE, and Give MORE. I look forward to seeing you in the stands this season!

Go Stags,

Paul Schlickmann
Vice President for Athletics
