Each fall, students, families, and alumni gather at Fairfield University for Alumni & Family Weekend. The weekend is a Fairfield tradition that offers alumni the chance to network and reconnect, current students time to share their experiences with their parents, and for everyone to gather to celebrate Fairfield’s proud past and our amazing future.

Tickets

Tickets for Alumni & Family Weekend are available through our University ticketing website. First-time users will need to create an account before reserving or purchasing tickets.

The ticketing site will indicate which events require a ticket or pre-registration. Please include your current Fairfield student(s) in your ticket count, if they plan to attend. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The deadline to purchase tickets online is midnight on Thursday, October 17. Following this date, all purchases will need to made in person on campus upon arrival.

Changes to your account can be made by logging into your online ticketing account at tickets.fairfield.edu. Hover over your name on the top tool bar and click "Your Orders" to see the events you have registered or bought tickets for. If you need further assistance, please call Colleen Wilson at 203-254-4000, ext. 2081 or e-mail alumnifamweekend@fairfield.edu.

Refunds will be granted for ticket cancellations made by Friday, October 4, 2019 at Midnight. We cannot accommodate financial refunds after this date.

Alumni & Family Weekend is not a fundraiser for the University. We make every effort to contain costs as much as possible to accommodate all budgets without compromising the activities we offer and the experience of our guests.

Tour of RODIN: TRUTH, FORM, LIFE exhibition in Walsh Gallery
This small but powerful retrospective features 22 bronze sculptures, modeled between 1860 and 1910. Rodin’s focus on depicting human emotion and intimate moments upended the world of traditional sculpture in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His innovative processes of repetition and multiplication broke boundaries, and his influence endures today.

Fairfield University Art Museum Open Houses
The Fairfield University Art Museum galleries bring iconic and original works of art to the University community, the residents of Fairfield County, and beyond. The small but choice permanent collection features European and American paintings, drawings, and prints, as well as a group of Asian, African, and Pre-Columbian objects. The museum also boasts a significant number of long-term loans from world renowned institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Worchester Museum of Art as well as special temporary exhibitions.

JTB Heart Walk
Connect with members of the JTB Heart Club on a leisurely two-mile walk around campus and learn about sudden cardiac arrest information, prevention, and response techniques.

The foundation is named in honor of John Taylor Babbitt, the son of Fairfield grad, David Babbitt ‘79, who died at age 16 when his heart stopped while playing basketball at his church gym. The club's mission is focused on three sudden cardiac arrest awareness goals: Advocacy, Education, and Defibrillator Deployment. All funds raised will be used to support the Fairfield University community and the JTB Heart Club's efforts to raise awareness and save lives, especially within our young adult community.

The Solo Circus is back by popular demand! This is a fast-paced, audience interactive, and technical skills variety show featuring magic, juggling, circus and slideshow stunts all wrapped in a blanket of comedy.

With over 12 years of experience Michael DuBois has appeared on NBC’s "Tonight Show" and "The Jay Leno Show" as well as the "Late Show with David Letterman." Tonight Michael will be joined by his partner, Viktoria Grimmy, a 5th generation circus performer.

There will also be a Lil’ Stag Zone with a mobile petting zoo and additional activities for the kids!

Enjoy live band entertainment by "The Adults." "The Adults" play rootsy rock, balancing dozens of originals with plenty of choice cover songs.
They are comprised entirely of Fairfield University Alumni — Peter Grennan '89, Jim Sheridan '89, Paul Simonetta '89, Gene Tiernan '89 and George Ramirez '91.

StagFest Lil' Stags Zone | Rafferty Stadium Parking Lot

Stop by our mobile petting zoo to get up close and personal with your favorite farm animals! Additional activities will be available for kids!

Q. Who is invited to AFW?

A: Anyone and everyone with a connection to Fairfield University are welcome to attend this exciting weekend!

Q: We are coming to the area on Friday, are there recommended hotels?

A: Please visit our "Plan Your Visit" section above for great local suggestions for lodging during AFW. Exclusive hotel blocks have been reserved at these establishments for your convenience. When making your reservation, please mention the block name listed below to receive the Alumni & Family Weekend rate.

Q: What is the AFW dress code?

A: Casual weather appropriate attire is suggested. Please note that much of Saturday’s programming is held outside rain or shine and includes large amounts of walking from one location to another.

Q. Where can I find a comprehensive schedule of all events happening this weekend?

A: Our full schedule of events is listed above. We encourage everyone to attend all events, even those that do not require ticket purchases or reservations.

Q. Can my children attend these events?

A: Yes, we encourage you to bring your children and grandchildren to any of our Alumni & Family Weekend events! Some specifically focused events for children are:

Q: Which events do I need to secure tickets for?

A: Our ticketing site will indicate events that require a ticket or pre-registration. Please only reserve what you need as to allow as many families to be able to attend our events, as possible. If your ticket quantity needs change, email alumnifamweekend@fairfield.edu. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Refunds are not available after Friday, October 4 at Midnight.

Q: Do I need to tickets for my Fairfield University student(s) to attend these events?

A: Yes, please check with your student to see if they would like to attend. If yes, include them in your count when making your reservations. Please note that these events may sell out, so please secure your tickets as soon as possible.

Q: Where do I pick up my Men’s Soccer Tickets?

A: Your reserved tickets for the Men’s Soccer game vs. Monmouth can be picked up at Lessing Field prior to the game. Please check in with the ticketing area at the field.

Q: Where do I pick up my Quick Center tickets?

A: Your reserved tickets for Comedy Show, Solo Circus Show and The Glee Club Concert, can be picked up at the Quick Center for the Arts Box Office an hour before each ShowTime. Please know that any tickets not picked up within 10 minutes of show time, will be given to the next family on the waitlist.

Q: What is StagFest?

A: Fairfield’s StagFest has something to offer the entire family, providing a variety of food vendors, a wine + beer garden, the Lil’ Stags Zone (featuring a petting zoo), a Stags Pep Rally, live band entertainment performed by “The Adults” and finally, the JTB Heart Walk! All StagFest activities (taking place on Saturday, October 29th from Noon – 4 p.m.) are free with the exception of food and drink vouchers that need to be purchased. We suggest purchasing online, as we will be limiting all pre-purchased StagFest purchases to the first 1,000 orders. After that, we will only be taking orders at the event, with cash and credit card, space permitting.

Q. What does each StagFest food voucher include?

A: Each food voucher allows you to try one sample portion of food from over 15 food vendors. Multiple vouchers will be needed for multiple samples. These vouchers are offered individually for $4.

Q: What does the StagFest drink package include?

A: Each drink package includes a commemorative Fairfield mug and unlimited beer, cider & wines. Please note; you must be 21 to participate. One drink package per person. Packages are contingent on proof of legal drinking age, which will be checked at the event. No refunds available. Drink packages are $25 or $35 when combined with 3 food vouchers.

Q: Where do I pick up my StagFest vouchers?

A: StagFest Vouchers can be picked up at the Barone Campus Center 3rd Floor Tully Information Desk on Friday, October 18 from 5 – 8 p.m. or on Saturday, October 19 from 7 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. After that time, voucher pick up will move to the Rafferty Stadium Parking Lot ticket tent for pick up at StagFest.

Q: Can I request a special meal (i.e., gluten-free, vegetarian, etc)?

A: At StagFest we recommend that you speak with the vendors directly for information regarding their offerings. Our Saturday and Sunday breakfast/brunch meals are served buffet-style and both menus will include items that are vegetarian, gluten-free, etc. Please contact Colleen Wilson within the Office of Student Engagement at 203-254-4000, etc 2081 or by emailing alumnifamweekend@fairfield.edu with specific inquiries.

Q: Why are there two Sunday meal times?

A: This early breakfast time (7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.) allows family members, friends and alumni to have the opportunity to experience a true dining experience in our newly renovated Tully Dining Commons. In order to accommodate all our current students who will be looking to eat brunch later that morning, we have created a second meal time downstairs for any Alumni & Family Weekend guests that would like to eat brunch from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Both meal times cost $10 per ticket, with children under the age of 10 being free. Additional breakfast & brunch tickets will be available for purchase at the Tully Information Desk, 3rd floor, Barone Campus Center prior to each meal time.

Q: Do I have to pay for my Fairfield student to attend Saturday breakfast and/or Sunday breakfast/brunch?

A: No, current students with or without a meal plan, are welcome to show us their StagCard at the Tully Information Desk to receive a free meal ticket (only to be used during Alumni & Family Weekend).

Q: Where do I pick up my Saturday and/or Sunday breakfast/brunch vouchers?

A: Breakfast and brunch tickets can be picked up at the Barone Campus Center 3rd Floor Tully Information Desk before and during each meal time.

Q: Is there anything else we need to know?

Online Ticket Deadline
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Thursday, October 17 at Midnight is the deadline for online ticket purchases. Following this date, all purchases will need to made in person on campus upon arrival.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Refunds will be granted for ticket cancellations made by Friday, October 4, 2019 at Midnight. We cannot accommodate financial refunds after this date.

Order Modifications
Modifications to your account can be made by logging your online ticketing account at tickets.fairfield.edu and hovering over your name on the top tool bar. Once there, click "Your Orders" to see the events you have registered or bought tickets for. Campus Parking
You are permitted to park in any of the designated parking lots on campus, including the parking garage.

Campus Construction
Please pardon our appearance as our campus undergoes renovations! When walking from place to place, please be cognizant of uneven sidewalks and any temporary detours. On-Campus Animal Policy
No animals or comfort pets are allowed on campus at any time, with the exception of Service Animals.

Smoking and Drug Policy
Smoking is prohibited everywhere on Fairfield University property. The use of electronic cigarettes, vaporizers and hookahs are also prohibited in all University buildings and facilities. Violations of the smoking policy may result in sanctions including, but not limited to, a fine, an educational activity and/or community service.
