Inclement weather notification
When Fairfield University’s regular operations are delayed, shortened or suspended, the RecPlex facility and Aquatics Center will follow suit. In case of an emergency while the University is closed, please contact the Office of Public Safety at 203-254-4090. 

Aquatics Center Schedule

Pool opens 15 minutes after the RecPlex facility opening and closes 30 minutes prior to the facility closure.
Pool open swim schedule is subject to change based on University, Prep, high schools, and other swim programs.

We highly recommend patrons call the RecPlex to receive the most up to date information regarding pool hours.

Membership for all full-time undergraduate and graduate students is included in the tuition and membership registration is not necessary for undergrads nor grad students.

A graduate student may register a family member/s incurring the associated fees below:

  • Spouse - $115
  • 1 Child - $100
  • 2 Children - $175
  • 3 or more Children - $250

Children usage restrictions do apply. Please call 203-254-4141 for more information 

Children under 18 or in high school are only allowed in the RecPlex from Friday 4 p.m. through Sunday while the University students are in session and are limited to basketball open play, pool and racquetball only.

Appropriate workout clothing and footwear should be worn at all times.

Fitness classes are for students and members only. Sorry, but guests are not eligible to sign up or register for fitness classes.

Fairfield University or Fairfield Preparatory faculty, staff, and administrators, or part-time students, register to start your membership.

Fairfield University Retiree or University Alumni, Fairfield University Contract Employee, Prep Alumni, or Fairfield Preparatory Student register to start your membership. Incoming freshman are eligible for membership upon completion of their first day of the fall semester.


All on-campus parking arrangements must be made directly with the Department of Public Safety. Please contact their office at (203) 254-4000 x2745 for more information.

Joining The RecPlex

Joining the RecPlex

RecPlex membership registration is ongoing. Only year long memberships are available. All memberships are based on the current fiscal year, beginning July 1st and ending on June 30th, the following year. All registration is completed online. If needed, staff help is availble in person, during regular business day hours. please call 203-254-4000 ext. 2049 to schedule an appointment.

Entrance to the building and use of its equipment and services is restricted to members only. Members must present their membership card (i.e., StagCard) at the reception desk. Individuals will not be admitted without their card.

Daily guest passes ($10.00 per visit) may only be purchased on site from the reception desk staff. All guests must present a picture ID. Guests are provided a wrist band, to be worn at all times within the facility.

A member must be present during the purchase and accompany the guest within the facility. Number of guests permitted for one member is three. An individual guest is limited to 10 times per year (July 1 - June 30).
