Fairfield is excited to announce that employers can effectively and conveniently recruit for jobs and internships during the 2021-22 academic year. The University Career Centers are offering events that will increase your brand awareness on campus while connecting you with our talented students.

Fall 2021

The Fairfield University Career Center is hosting our fall virtual Career & Internship Fair on Wednesday, September 29 from 12 – 3 p.m. with students of all majors and class years. You’ll be able to engage with students in a variety of formats, including:

  • Video, audio, and chat communication with students
  • Group meetings with up to 50 participants
  • 1:1 meetings scheduled in advance or after a group session

Standard: $50 | Non-profit: $25

Additional Fairs
The Nursing Career Fair is scheduled for Tues., Oct. 26 from 4-6 p.m. and the Law School Fair is Thurs., Nov. 4 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Both will be hosted virtually on Handshake. For more information, please contact the Career Center at careers@fairfield.edu.

Student Tips For Attending A Career Fair

The University Career Center is offering the annual Fall Career & Internship Fair on Wed., Sept. 29 from 12-3 p.m. The fair will be hosted virtually on Stags4Hire, powered by Handshake. Students of all class years and majors will be able to register the week of Sept. 13.

Once registered, students should...

  • Learn how easy it is to network virtually on Stags4Hire, powered by Handshake
  • Preview the employers and schedule group and 1:1 meetings in advance!
  • Identify and research companies of interest and prepare questions.
  • Develop an elevator pitch to respond to: “tell me about yourself.”
  • Make sure your resume is up to date and upload it to Handshake. Contact your school's career center for assistance.
  • Dress professionally and take notes.
  • Ask employers for their contact information so you can follow up with them after the fair.
  • Write a thank you note to employers who provided contact information and follow up on any activities discussed.
