Career Fairs

Fairfield is excited to announce that employers can effectively and conveniently recruit for jobs and internships during the 2022-23 academic year. The University Career Centers are offering events that will increase your brand awareness on campus while connecting you with our talented students.

Fall 2022

The Fairfield University Career Center is hosting two career fair options in the fall.  Employers can choose to participate in one or both events with students of all majors and class years.

  • Our in-person Career & Internship Expo is Wed., Oct. 19 from 1 – 3:30 p.m.
  • There will be a virtual Career & Internship Expo on Thurs., Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. – noon.

Registration will open on Stags4Hire (Handshake) later this summer.

Plans are underway for the Nursing and Law School Fairs, also tentatively scheduled for Oct. Details will be announced soon.

Student Tips For Attending A Career Fair

The University Career Center is offering the annual Spring Career & Internship Fair on Wednesday, February 23 from 1 – 4 p.m. The fair will be hosted virtually on Stags4Hire, powered by Handshake. Students of all class years and majors will be able to participate.

Once registered, students should...

  • Learn how easy it is to network virtually on Stags4Hire, powered by Handshake
  • Preview the employers and schedule group and 1:1 meetings in advance!
  • Identify and research companies of interest and prepare questions.
  • Develop an elevator pitch to respond to: “tell me about yourself.”
  • Make sure your resume is up to date and upload it to Handshake. Contact your school's career center for assistance.
  • Dress professionally and take notes.
  • Ask employers for their contact information so you can follow up with them after the fair.
  • Write a thank you note to employers who provided contact information and follow up on any activities discussed.
