U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of the Best Graduate Schools has once again placed Fairfield Egan’s nursing programs in the Top 3 in the state.
The Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies has yet again been named among the nation’s best in U.S. News & World Report's 2022 Best Graduate School rankings.
Among the Best Nursing Schools that offer Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees, Fairfield Egan ascended 16 spots to #53 nationally, tied with Indiana University-Purdue University, UNC-Greensboro, and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Fairfield Egan also placed #3 in the state of Connecticut, on both the list of nursing schools that offer DNPs and those that offer Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degrees.
2022 Best Nursing Grad Schools:
- #53 nationally, #3 in Connecticut, among schools with DNP programs
- #74 nationally, #3 in Connecticut, among schools with MSN programs
Ranking indicators for the 2022 Best Graduate Schools included quality assessment (peer assessment score and recruiter assessment score), placement success (indicators on employment and earnings), and student selectivity.
In addition to the above rankings, Fairfield Egan placed in the top 5 percent of colleges and universities nationally on Niche’s Best Colleges for Nursing in America list, with a No. 34 spot out of 692 schools considered. On a state level, Fairfield was awarded the No. 1 spots for Best Colleges for Nursing. Fairfield Egan has also been named among the top 5 nursing schools in the New England Region by Nursing Schools Almanac’s ranking of the 60 Best Nursing Schools in New England. Ranked at No. 5 by the online nursing student resource, Fairfield is joined by the likes of Yale University (No. 1), Boston College (No. 2), University of Connecticut (No. 3), and University of Massachusetts Medical School (No. 4) in the Nursing Schools Almanac’s 2020 review.
