Admission Office Visit Schedule

We love when prospective students and families come to campus to experience the special place we’ve built here in Stag Country, and we can't wait until you have the opportunity to experience it yourself.

With the health and safety of our prospective students and campus community in mind, Fairfield has decided to temporarily suspend all in-person campus visit opportunities for the time being. We will continue to evaluate the situation on a weekly basis and keep you updated when we return to our regular visit schedule.

In the meantime, we are excited to offer you some new opportunities to visit us virtually, connect with our admission counselors via Skype, attend a virtual information session, or participate in an online panel discussion with some of our current students.

Campus Visits

Visiting campus is one of the best ways to learn more about Fairfield University's facilities, programs, faculty, and most importantly, our students. We encourage you to consider any or all of the following options for your visit.

Campus visits last approximately 90 minutes. A Visit consists of an Information Session led by one of our admission counselors followed by a Campus Tour. Information Sessions include an overview of academic life at Fairfield University, as well as the admission process and financial aid.

Campus Tours are led by one of our volunteer student tour ambassadors. Tours provide insight into student life at Fairfield University and include visits to the DiMenna-Nyselius Library, the Barone Campus Center, a residence hall room, a classroom, and Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola.

Group Visit Guidelines

Group Visits

Thank you for your interest in Fairfield University. We are looking forward to welcoming your high school group to campus. In order to have the best experience, please follow the guidelines below:

 General Guidelines

  • We are only able to accommodate groups of high school students during the academic year (September through May). Groups containing students younger than high school may be accommodated during the summer months as space allows.
  • Please allow at least three (3) weeks' notice for all group visit requests.
  • Due to high demand, alternative dates are appreciated.
  • The maximum number of students for a group visit is 30. For every 10 students, at least one (1) chaperone is required (see Chaperone Policy below).
  • Please wait to receive a confirmation e-mail before arranging travel plans.

Chaperone Policy

The Office of Undergraduate Admission requires that groups visiting campus have one (1) chaperone per every ten (10) students. We ask that chaperones remain with their students at all times. In order to have the best possible experience, we limit the groups to a maximum of 40 students. Unruly and/or disrespectful behavior will result in the immediate request to leave campus and the organization will forfeit the opportunity to return in the future.

** Please plan accordingly and allow extra time for your arrival to campus, due to possible traffic. **

Schedule

11:45 a.m. Arrival
12 p.m. Information Session
12:30 p.m. Campus Tour
1:45 p.m. Departure from Campus

Group Visits are ONLY OFFERED Tuesdays–Thursdays. In the summer months, group visits are offered Mondays–Thursdays.
