Fairfield University’s Leo D. Mahoney Arena Grand Opening, Nov. 18

On Friday, Nov. 18, a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Leo D. Mahoney Arena will be held at the entrance of the new facility beginning at 10 a.m.

All are invited to a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony to be held at the entrance to the Leo D. Mahoney Arena on Friday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m.

The official opening ceremony will introduce the new 85,000-square foot, 3,500-seat multi-use space that will be used for basketball and volleyball games, University events, and concerts. Grand opening attendees will be treated to doorbuster giveaways, a golden ticket challenge, Star 99.9, prizes, and treats from The Tasty Yolk food truck.

Later that night, the Fairfield women’s basketball team will play the first official game on the Mahoney Arena's hardwood court to open the 2022-23 season against Stonehill College at 7 p.m.

Season and single game tickets for the 2022-23 Fairfield men's and women's basketball season are now on sale at FairfieldStags.com/TIX. All tickets for the 2022-23 Fairfield Basketball season will be digital and fans will have access to an online account to manage tickets throughout the season.
