The 2019 Expo will again be held at the University’s RecPlex, and will feature class demos, lectures, and more.
Fairfield University has again partnered with the Town of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce to host the 2019 Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday, March 16 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Leslie C. Quick Recreation Complex.
The event, now in its fifth year, brings together informational lectures, demonstrations, and a wide variety of exhibitors dedicated to health, fitness, wellness, and medicine. The Expo is free and open to the public.
“The health of the whole person – Mind, Body, Spirit – is one of the cornerstones of the Jesuit values and Fairfield University,” said John Paladino, Fairfield’s Director of Recreation. “We are excited to partner with the Town of Fairfield and the Chamber of Commerce for the second year in a row, to share those values with the greater Fairfield community.”
Fitness class demonstrations by several local studios will be provided in the RecPlex's state-of-the-art fitness rooms, plus several health-related lectures will take place over the course of the day. Additionally, there will be a kid’s fun-run and face painting, a prescription drug take-back program with the Fairfield Police Department and the Fairfield Cares Community Coalition, CPR and AED training, health screenings, and much more.
