Family Fun with Frosty at the Quick, Dec. 19

Feel the magic of the holiday season with The Barter Players' performance of Frosty on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1 p.m., at The Quick Center. A beloved holiday classic brought to life on the stage, Frosty is perfect for the whole family!

The cherished holiday hit Frosty the Snowman inspired this brand new story by Catherine Bush. After a young orphan named Billy discovers magic in his hat, his snowman comes to life! Join Billy and Frosty as they embark on a New York City adventure and discover that the real magic of the holidays is love.

The performance features original music by Mandy Williams and is produced by The Barter Players from Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA. The Barter Players, known for their world-class theatre for young audiences, capture the imaginations of children and adults alike with their high-energy original productions of classic literature.

Terrance Jackson, 24, is playing the title role of Frosty. He summed up Frosty in three words: heart, fun and music. "We do a bunch of singing and a bunch of dancing, and the heart of the story is love," said Jackson. "When [you] leave the show, you're going to see nothing but smiles on peoples’ faces because they had a great time.”

The Quick Center Family Fun Series is a perfect opportunity to bring your family to the theatre for one-of-a-kind experiences that enhance learning, ignite creativity and offer a new view of the world around them. Join us for juice and cookies after the performance!

Tickets are $15 for adults and children. For tickets, visit quickcenter.com or call the box office at 203-254-4010 or toll free at 1-877-ARTS-396.
