Panel Discussion on Navigating Careers & Technologies, April 4

Hosted by the School of Engineering and Computing, the panel discussion will feature experts from Oracle and ODTUG.

On Thursday, April 4 at 6 p.m., Fairfield University’s School of Engineering and Computing will host a panel discussion entitled “Navigating Careers & Technologies” at the Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies, Room 224. The panel discussion will feature experts from industry leaders Oracle and ODTUG and will be moderated by assistant professor of the practice Mirco Speretta, PhD, who serves as director of the Master of Science in Cybersecurity program at Fairfield.

During the panel discussion, attendees will explore the world of Oracle technologies and gain insights from industry leaders who have made a significant impact in their respective fields. Following the panel discussion, there will be a Q&A and a networking session.

Edward Roske: The Entrepreneurial Oracle Maven

Edward Roske, ODTUG board member, a seasoned entrepreneur and founder of a highly successful Oracle Consulting company will share his inspiring career journey. Learn about the challenges and triumphs of building a thriving Oracle-focused business and gain insights into the intersection of entrepreneurship and cutting-edge technologies like AI/ML.

Gary Crisci: Oracle Blockchain - Insights from the Trenches

Gary Crisci, a long-time senior architect at General Electric, will provide a firsthand account of his experiences working on global Oracle Finance Planning and Data Management programs at GE and other Fortune 500 companies. Delve into the world of Oracle Blockchain, exploring its applications, challenges faced, and the transformative potential it brings to real world enterprise solutions.

Neviana Zhgaba: The World of Software, Data & Wine

Neviana Zhgaba, ODTUG board member, will discuss her journey from a Fairfield University software engineering student to a Global Program Manager in Data Analytics at General Electric, and now the owner of Aquila's Vineyard. Zhgaba will unravel the intricacies of her career path and share insights on how to cultivate a proactive and adaptive mindset while juggling multiple responsibilities. 

Tim Faitch: The Future of Financial Database Technology

Tim Faitch is an Oracle Essbase database expert at Applied Olap, whose career has led him to take a variety of roles in the financial services and retail industries. Faitch is an active member of the Essbase community, maintains an Essbase related blog, speaks frequently at user conferences and has been a regular contributor to various Essbase web forums over the past 20 years.
