Five teams will collaborate weekly with mentors and advisors to prep their business plans to pitch for seed money.

Planning for Fairfield’s annual entrepreneurship competition, the Fairfield StartUp Showcase, is underway and students are hard at work to refine their business ideas to pitch to this year’s investor panel. The format for the Showcase will follow the same online format as last year, and the public will be able to watch the Showcase video series on Wednesday, April 28. The video series will document each team’s journey, showcase the excitement as teams make their pitches, and reveal feedback from the investors.

Here’s a rundown of this year’s Fairfield StartUp Showcase Teams:

EarnSpace is a Zoom plug-in and web app that allows for the integration of advertisements into conference calls in order to reach broader audiences in an increasingly virtual world.

Kindler is a stress-free solution for college students to meet new people and make friends through an app that matches them with other students who have the same passions and hobbies.

RinkLink automates the ice rink industry with yield management to improve financial outcomes and facilitate member communication.

The Point is an online fashion and lifestyle magazine that offers an inclusive and creative space pertaining to fashion, lifestyle, travel, food, style, wellness, and culture.

WePlay is an app that connects people with similar sports interests whether they are looking to start a league or play a pick-up game.
