Parents Can Unlock $100,000 for Students with Parent Leadership Challenge

Parents Can Unlock $100,000 for Students with Parent Leadership Challenge

From now until October 20, if 500 or more parents participate in the annual Challenge, an additional $100,000 gift will be unlocked for the Parents Fund, to strengthen the University’s commitment to student education.

The environment surrounding the 2020-21 school year is like none other. Together, parents can make a difference for Fairfield and its students by generously participating in the annual Parent Leadership Challenge. From now to Oct. 20, parents can participate in the Challenge by making a gift of any size. If 500 parents participate, a generous $100,000 challenge gift will be unlocked to the Parents Fund to ensure that Fairfield students can continue to have an amazing academic experience.

There is a special opportunity for Senior Parents during the Challenge as well. Parents of seniors can lend their support to the Honor Your Graduate campaign. This program, exclusively for parents of the Class of 2021, gives parents the opportunity to make a tribute gift in their child’s honor and acknowledge their student’s time and hard work at Fairfield. The Honor Your Graduate program is a Fairfield tradition and a great way for parents to celebrate and commemorate their student’s time at the University. In addition, senior parents can also write their students a heartfelt message that will be placed in a specially-designed celebration email and sent to their student a week before Commencement as a surprise!

Parent support is an essential part of Fairfield students’ success, and that support is needed now more than ever to continue our University’s position of strength and to enhance our student’s abilities to problem solve and persevere, no matter what challenges arise. During last year’s Parent Leadership Challenge, approximately 500 parents came together to surpass the goal and unlock the $100,000 challenge gift. These parents helped strengthen Fairfield’s legacy of excellence and showed that they believe in what Fairfield can do, and will do, for their students.
