Fairfield to Host NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Quarterfinals, This Sunday at Pratt & Whitney Stadium

Fairfield University is proud to host the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship Quarterfinals, this Sunday, May 19, at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. The doubleheader, which will air live on ESPNU, features top-seed Penn State challenging eighth-seeded Loyola at noon, followed by an Ivy League Championship rematch with fourth-seeded Penn meeting fifth-seeded Yale – the defending National Champions – at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now at NCAA.com. All tickets are valid for both ends of the doubleheader.

For fans who wish to sit in their team's section, the home bench (Penn State, Penn) is located primarily in front of section 119. The visiting bench (Loyola, Yale) is located primarily in front of section 123.

The four teams competing in East Hartford this weekend boast a combined record of 52-11. In Sunday's announcement of the 2019 DI Men's Media All-Americans by Inside Lacrosse, the clubs totaled 15 honorees, including First Team picks Grant Ament (Penn State), Pat Spencer (Loyola), Sam Handley (Penn) and TD Ierlan (Yale).

The two advancing teams from this weekend's action will be two of the four teams to play for the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship on May 25-27 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Tickets are on sale now at NCAA.com.

Fairfield University is also schedule to host the 2021 and 2022 NCAA Men's Lacrosse National Championships for Divisions I, II and III at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
