Go backstage with the controversial 1950s folk-pop stars who used the power of music to drive social change, were blacklisted during the Red Scare, and a half-century later won a Grammy Award for lifetime achievement.

Hosted by the School of Engineering in celebration of its 25th anniversary, featured speakers will explore the theme of “Innovation and Inspiration” at TEDxFairfieldUniversity. The event is free and open to the public, and a reception in the Quick Center lobby will follow. 

The production will be staged in the Wien Experimental Theatre at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts.

Developed by the Egan School with support of the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, the program provides students the knowledge and experience to pursue a wide range of healthcare-related careers.

The documentary explores the tragic outcomes of medical errors and the medical professionals working behind the scenes to create a new age of patient safety.

Fairfield placed in the top 10 percent of all colleges and universities included in College Factual’s national 2020 ranking, as well as in the top 25 percent of schools in New England.

Ranked No. 17 out of 850 schools, the Dolan School’s business, management, and marketing programs were also ranked in the top 3 percent of schools nationally for having the highest paid graduates.

The Egan School was also ranked No. 1 in Connecticut for its nursing program and placed in the top 5% nationally for producing highly-paid graduates in health professions.

The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Aloysius P. Kelley Center Presentation Room.

Adam Rovner, PhD, author and associate professor of English and Jewish literature at University of Denver, will deliver the lecture on Monday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Center at Fairfield University Dining Room.
