World-renowned Jewish composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist, Elana Arian, headlines 2019 ‘Daniel Pearl World Music Days Concert’ on October 22

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (October 1, 2019) – On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, Elana Arian will headline the Daniel Pearl World Music Days concert titled “An Evening with Elana Arian: A Celebration in Story and Song.” The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Aloysius P. Kelley Center Presentation Room.

Considered to be one of the leading voices in contemporary Jewish music, Arian soulful music has inspired communities across the country. The multi-instrumentalist, composer, and recording artist has been featured in Transcontinental Music publications, including both the popular Ruach and Shabbat Anthology series. She has released three albums of original music and is currently working on her fourth. Arian has served on the faculty of both Shirei Chagiga in London and the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, working as a teaching artist in the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Tanglewood, and at the White House.

Open to the public, the event is part of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days Concert series that honors the life and legacy of the slain journalist. Pearl’s parents created this musical series to reflect Daniel’s own belief (as a skilled violinist) that music unites people.
