Fairfield's Dolan School of Business Ranks 7th In LinkedIn College Rankings

LinkedIn has named Fairfield University’s Charles F. Dolan School of Business one of the country’s best schools for accounting professionals.

The impressive list, in which the Dolan School of Business landed in the number seven spot out of 25 top institutions, is part of a new series of tools LinkedIn is offering to help students decide where to attend college and how to make career decisions.

What the business-oriented networking service did was rank schools based on how successful recent graduates have been at landing desirable jobs. The official LinkedIn blog explained it this way: “By analyzing employment patterns of over 300 million LinkedIn members from around the world, we figured out what the desirable jobs are within several professions and which graduates get those desirable jobs. As a result, we are able to rank schools based on the career outcomes of their graduates.”

Editors noted four companies where many Fairfield alumni with a career in accounting work: PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, and KPMG U.S. For the complete list and more details, visit  https://www.linkedin.com/edu/rankings/us/undergraduate-accounting?trk=mkt_eml_urankings_s_CTA&fromEmail=true.

The LinkedIn accolade follows the Dolan School’s inclusion on other prestigious lists. It is ranked among the best undergraduate and graduate business programs by Bloomberg BusinessWeek, U.S. News & World Report, and Princeton Review.
