Student Athlete Talent Show Saturday Night

Student-Athlete Talent Show Set for Saturday Night in Alumni Hall

Fairfield University student-athletes will showcase their talents outside the realm of competition on Saturday, January 24th, at 6:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall when they host their fifth annual talent show. The event has become one of the highlights of the Fairfield University athletics calendar as fans and friends witness what the Stags can do when the whistles and buzzers stop and the music starts.

All 20 varsity programs will be putting on an act, or helping with set-up and concessions, as the student-athletes will have five minutes to show the crowd their talent. "It will be an exciting event for the teams to show their creative side in a fun competition. The event is another way for the student-athletes to come together as a group” said Senior Associate Director of Athletics and SAAC Advisor, Alison Sexton.

Each year, the Stags raise money for a good cause and this year is no different, with the Bridgeport Field of Dreams Foundation being the events beneficiary. The Foundation addresses the areas of need and services that will support student athletes' ability to participate and compete with dignity and pride, exhibiting strong personal characteristics, and academic proficiency throughout Bridgeport.

Admission to the event is $3 with the proceeds going to the Bridgeport Field of Dreams Foundation. Plus, the student-athletes will hold a 50/50 raffle and will accept other donations for this very worthy cause. Stop by Alumni Hall on January 24th to see the student-athletes let loose for one night while helping out the Bridgeport student-athletes. See you there.
