The second-seeded Stags will visit top-seed Quinnipiac to challenge for the MAAC crown

Fairfield University Women’s Soccer makes the short trip to Quinnipiac on Sunday, Nov. 5 for the 2023 MAAC Championship Match. Kickoff from Hamden is slated for noon.

The second-seeded team in the MAAC, the Stags advanced to the final with a 3-0 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Thursday on Lessing Field. Maddy Theriault ’26 scored two goals in the victory, raising her team-best total to nine scores on the season. Fairfield will head to Quinnipiac with a record of 10-5-4.

The Stags will challenge reigning MAAC Champion and top seed Quinnipiac on Sunday. Fairfield is vying for its eighth MAAC Title – the most of any current conference team – and its first since 2008.

Earlier this week, seven Stags were named to the annual All-MAAC teams. Theriault, Caroline Kelly ’24 and Elle Scott ’24 were placed on the First Team, the trio of Reagan Klarmann ’25, Meghan Carragher ’26 and Allie Kirby ’24 garnered All-MAAC Second Team recognition, and Sam Kersey ’26 was tabbed for the Third Team.

Sunday’s championship match will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Visit FairfieldStags.com for more information as well as links to watch and follow the action live.
