Many Ways to Contribute to the Fairfield Community

Support from alumni, parents, and friends makes a big difference at Fairfield, and the University offers many ways to make giving easy and convenient.

Fairfield faculty, staff, and students are grateful for all the alumni, parents, and friends who make charitable gifts to the University. To ensure that the Stag community can easily invest in a Fairfield education – and support the programs and services that mean the most to them – in a way that best fits their personal giving goals, the University offers a variety of ways to give.

Every gift, no matter the size,  provides academic enrichment, personal discovery, and professional exploration opportunities for all students. Here are several giving options to choose from:

Giving online - a convenient, fast, and secure way to make a gift. fairfield.edu/give.

Recurring giving - an easy way to spread a gift over time and have multiple installments add up to make a big difference. To set up a recurring gift, donors can go to fairfield.edu/give, determine their giving amount, and choose their giving frequency (monthly, quarterly, or yearly).

Venmo - is a new and simple way to give to Fairfield with a mobile device. To make a Venmo gift, donors can send their gifts to @Fairfield-UniversityGiveAGift and include their e-mail, affiliation, class year, and any special instructions.

Giving by phone – call Fairfield at 1-877-748-5123.

Giving by mail – please download the gift form (PDF) and mail it to Fairfield with a contribution. For those unable to use the form, include the donor’s name, affiliation (i.e., alumni, parent, friend), and, when applicable, graduating class year. Gifts can be mailed to Fairfield University, Advancement Services, BLM 220, 1073 North Benson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824-5195

Matching gifts programs - are offered by many employers and allow supporters to double or triple their contributions. Many employers also match gifts from retirees and spouses. Find out if a company matches and how to initiate a match.

Giving appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual funds - provide even greater tax benefits than giving cash. To make a securities gift, please follow the steps located at fairfield.edu/waystogive.

Planned giving - offers creative, strategic ways to support the University, while also providing donors and their families with tax and other benefits. Planned gifts come in many forms, such as beneficiary designations, gifts through a will, charitable gift annuities, and charitable trusts. More information about Planned Giving with Fairfield.

IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution – for those at least 70½ years old, this type of gift may provide a tax advantage while also supporting Fairfield. More information.
