Fairfield University faculty and staff are invited to join AJCU schools across the country in the Go Move Challenge.
Beginning February 1, Fairfield faculty and staff will make every minute – and movement - count in the Go Move Challenge, a competition between 23 other Jesuit Universities across the country. The common goal: to maintain a healthy lifestyle while staying dedicated to the Jesuit values of mind, body, and spirit.
Participants can register and log their workouts at GoMoveChallenge.org. Registration is now open. All types of intentional exercises are encouraged from walking your dog to playing basketball with friends to riding your bike. With the weather being unpredictable, there are also plenty of inside activities to do such as jumping jacks, sit-ups, or push-ups.
The first 100 people to register will win a Go Move Challenge t-shirt. The competitor with the most logged minutes will win five personal training sessions at the RecPlex. Additional prizes will be given to weekly winners and departments. All participants will be entered to win one of eight RecPlex memberships.
The overall highest performing competitor will win the Grand Prize—five sessions with a personal trainer!
Started in 2013 by Santa Clara University, the Go Move Challenge aims to maintain healthy lifestyles and incentivize faculty and staff from Jesuit Universities to exercise. Culminating on February 28, the university with the highest total number of minutes will be named winner of the challenge.
