The Class of 2030 marks a new wave of high-achieving students who identify Fairfield University as a top choice.
Founded in 1942 as a Jesuit Catholic institution, Fairfield University has grown from an inaugural class of 303 undergraduate men into a vibrant coeducational University comprised of five schools and colleges and recognized for regional and national excellence. The incoming Class of 2030 is the largest applicant pool in the University’s history, underscoring rising academic selectivity and expanding geographic diversity among a cohort of students eager to learn, lead, and make a meaningful impact from day one.
Applicants to the Class of 2030 demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, with an average weighted GPA of 3.9 and middle 50 percent SAT range of 1320-1420 among those who submitted scores. Fairfield received 21,662 applications representing 49 states (plus D.C. and Puerto Rico) and 97 countries. In just five short years, Fairfield has seen a 62 percent surge in the number of applications, making this year the most selective admission cycle to date. This growth reflects the University’s increasing appeal as a first-choice institution, with a record number of Early Decision (ED).
