Dinner and...a Book!
Food lovers prepare! To celebrate Fairfield’s Restaurant Week, Fairfield University Bookstore will present travel writer Amy Kundrat (right) and photographer Stephanie Webster discussing their new cookbook Fairfield County Chef’s Table over a meal prepared by Chef Frederick Kieffer at ARTISAN Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15. The public is invited to join them for dinner at the restaurant, which is located within the Delamar Hotel in Southport. Tickets are available now.
Fairfield County Chef’s Table: Featuring Extraordinary Recipes from Connecticut’s Gold Coast (Global Pequot Press, 2014) includes mouth-watering dishes, famous chefs, and lots of local flavor and photos. ARTISAN is one of the restaurants featured in the book, which is aimed at locals and travelers alike.
Author Amy Kundrat is the executive editor of CTbites, the award-winning website devoted to chronicling great food in Connecticut, especially her home region of Fairfield County. She works at Yale University, where she indulges in New Haven’s vibrant food-truck scene.
Photographer Stephanie Webster is the editor-in-chief and founder of CTbites.com. She began her career as a photo editor in the magazine industry and then migrated to the world of new media consulting and website building during New York’s first dot-com wave.
Guests at this special dinner will receive a full, sit-down dinner and a copy of the book, along with the book talk with Kundrat, Webster, and Kieffer.
