Dolan Co-Op Programs are designed to provide graduate students with unique opportunities to enhance their industry knowledge and skill sets.
The Fairfield Dolan Career Development Center has expanded its professional development offerings with a new partnership with IBM. MBA student James Pappalardo has been selected as the first Dolan graduate student to take part in the IBM Co-Op Program starting in January. The Co-Op position is a full-time role over a six-month period at IBM’s headquarters in Armonk, N.Y. Pappalardo will gain a unique and in-depth understanding of company operations through analyzing and interpreting complex data, while assisting with financial analysis and reporting.
“Applying for this position was a no-brainer for me,” said Pappalardo. “An opportunity to receive real-life experience at an esteemed company like IBM was one I couldn’t pass up. Now that I am fortunate enough to be accepted for this role, I am thrilled to get started and learn within a work environment like IBM’s. I believe this experience will help kick-start the next phase of my professional career.”
In addition to IBM, Fairfield Dolan continues to offer Co-Op positions with The Hartford and Synchrony. Dolan also welcomed a new cohort of 18 graduate students to the BetterManager Leadership Coaching program this fall, a central element of Dolan’s MBA program.
“Both the Co-Op programs and the Leadership Coaching program offer unique opportunities for our graduate students to improve their experience, industry knowledge, and skill sets,” said John Hottinger, associate director of the Dolan Career Development Center. “These programs augment the high quality of an advanced degree pursuit at Fairfield Dolan.”
