The Fairfield University Student Alumni Association will host the second annual “Stags Run for Stags” Virtual Race for family, alumni, students, and friends of Fairfield from Friday, Nov. 19 through Sunday, Nov. 21. Participants are free to choose whether to bike, run, jog, or walk at any time and anywhere over race weekend. 

Help Fairfield break last year’s attendance record of 296 participants — representing 16 states and three countries! A portion of your registration fee will go to the Stags for Stags fund of your choice to directly support students' most urgent needs. All who participate will also receive limited-edition tie-dye Fairfield University apparel and a digital race bib to commemorate their run.

Interested race participants can sign up online and choose one of the following race options:

• “5.0 K” - In honor of the 50^th Anniversary of Women at Fairfield University; approx. 3.1 miles
• “10.73 K” - In recognition of Fairfield’s home on 1073 North Benson Road; approx. 6.7 miles
• “Stag Challenge” - A combination of both races for a total of approximately 9.8 miles

During race weekend, participants can map their route with apps such as Map my Run, USATF - America’s Running Routes, or WalkJogRun. Then, once racers have completed their miles, they can share their accomplishment and results with Fairfield on Instagram by tagging @fairfieldualumni and @fairfieldsaa and using #StagsRunforStags, or send your results via email to alumni@fairfield.edu. Awards such as “Most Fairfield Pride,” “Cutest Future Stag,” and “Stags Who Run Together Stay Together” will be given out so make sure to follow these accounts after registering.
