The Stags have 28 home games on the slate for the upcoming season.

Fairfield Basketball begins the 2021-22 schedule on Tuesday, Nov. 9. The men’s and women’s programs have a total of 28 home games on the slate — including four doubleheaders — at Webster Bank Arena. Tickets for all home games, as well as season ticket packages, are on sale now.

Women’s Basketball opens the season at home on Nov. 9 against Brown. The Stags, entering their 15th season under Head Coach Joe Frager, will be led by Lou Lopez Senechal ’22, the MAAC Preseason Player of the Year for the second straight season. Andrea Hernangomez ’22 was the MAAC Sixth Player of the Year last year and has been named for the Preseason All-MAAC Third Team entering the upcoming campaign.

Men’s Basketball visits Providence to begin the slate on Nov. 9, follow by a Nov. 14 trip to Boston College. The first of 15 home games for Head Coach Jay Young and his squad is set for Tuesday, Nov. 16 against Medgar Evers. The Stags return over 99 percent of their points scored from last season, which concluded with three wins in Atlantic City to advance to the MAAC Championship Game. 2021-22 leading scorer Jake Wojcik ’22 was recognized this fall as a Preseason All-MAAC Third Team honoree.

All 28 home games will be played at Webster Bank Arena this season, as construction continues on the new on-campus Arena and Convocation Center, slated for completion in the fall of 2022.

For fans who are unable to make it to Webster Bank Arena, every home game will be broadcast live on the ESPN Family of Networks throughout the 2021-22 season. The Stags Sports Network will produce the broadcasts from the new Fairfield University Media Center (the former Dolan School of Business building).

Calling the action courtside from Webster Bank Arena, the familiar tandem of Bob Heussler and Joe DeSantis '79 will be on the call for men's games. Behind the microphone for Fairfield Women's Basketball will be John Cummings and J.J. Duke splitting duties on play-by-play, while Kate Abromovitch '93 returns as the lead analyst.

In addition to airing live on ESPN, all games will be simulcast for international viewers on MAAC.tv. These simulcasts are free exclusively for viewers in areas that cannot currently access ESPN's digital streaming services.
