Commencement Week Schedule of Events

How and When to Virtually Celebrate the Classes of 2020 and 2021 This Week.

Families and friends of the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 are invited to tune in to virtually join the following Academic Celebrations and Commencement Ceremonies via livestream at fairfield.edu/commencement. Viewing links to each individual event will be posted to the Commencement webpage prior to the start time each day. Masses to honor the graduates will be available via livestream at the Zoom link below.

Class of 2020

Saturday, May 15 at 9:30 a.m. | Graduate and Professional Studies Virtual Commencement Ceremony

Saturday, May 22 at 9:30 a.m. | Undergraduate Academic Celebration for the College of Arts and Sciences and the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies

Saturday, May 22 at 2 p.m. | Undergraduate Academic Celebration for the Charles F. Dolan School of Business and the School of Engineering.

Sunday, May 16 at 9:30 a.m. | Graduate & Professional Studies Academic Celebration

Monday, May 17 at 9:30 a.m. | Undergraduate Academic Celebration for College of Arts and Sciences (Social and Behavioral Sciences — Communication/PR, Politics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology)

Monday, May 17 at 2 p.m. | Undergraduate Academic Celebration for College of Arts and Sciences (Arts, Humanities, Natural Sciences, Math, Interdisciplinary, Other)

Tuesday, May 18, at 9:30 a.m. | Undergraduate Academic Celebration for Charles F. Dolan School of Business (Finance, Economics, Information Systems and Operations Management, Business Analytics, Management)

Tuesday May 18 at 2 p.m. | Undergraduate Academic Celebration for Charles F. Dolan School of Business (Accounting, Marketing, International Business)

Wednesday, May 19 at 9:30 a.m. | Undergraduate Academic Celebration for Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies

Wednesday, May 19 at 2 p.m. | Undergraduate Academic Celebration for School of Engineering

Sunday, May 23 at 9:30 a.m. | Class of 2021 Undergraduate and Graduate & Professional Studies Virtual Commencement Ceremonies

 

Academic Celebrations

Graduates will be recognized with their cohorts on Bellarmine Lawn, rain or shine, during their assigned in-person Academic Celebrations. In-person attendance is restricted to two ticketed guests per graduate, but all celebrations will be open and available for online viewing via livestream at fairfield.edu/commencement.


Virtual Commencement Ceremonies

Degrees will be conferred during the all-virtual Commencement Ceremonies, and Commencement Speaker Judy Woodruff's address will be part of the online ceremonies, also available at fairfield.edu/commencement.


Mass Celebrations

While unable to host a traditional Baccalaureate Mass this year, all graduates of the Classes of 2020 and 2021 will be honored at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Masses on Sunday, May 16 and at 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday, May 23. While in-person attendance remains restricted, all are invited to attend any of these Masses virtually via Zoom.
