Stags Sports Network Announces Spring Broadcast Schedule

The Stags Sports Network

Every home game — across eight sports — is set to be broadcast live.

The Stags Sports Network has announced the 66 Fairfield University Athletics contests that will comprise its 2021 spring broadcast schedule. The slate includes every scheduled home game in baseball, softball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey, and volleyball.

“Under these current circumstances, we recognize the importance of delivering Fairfield Stags athletics to our fans around the world,” said Deputy Director of Athletics Zach Dayton. “Credit to [Assistant Director for Broadcast Operations and Digital Strategy] Ryan Moynihan and his production team — on the heels of a rigorous and challenging home basketball schedule — for diving in and tackling our spring slate with the same dedication and enthusiasm that they brought to Alumni Hall throughout the last several months.”

The schedule begins on March 6 at Rafferty Stadium with a noon doubleheader featuring the Fairfield's women’s lacrosse team challenging in-state foe Quinnipiac, followed by the Fairfield men’s lacrosse team opening its CAA slate against Delaware. All six women’s lacrosse home games this season are set to air on the ESPN family of networks, while men’s lacrosse has renewed its partnership to air every home game free of charge on the Lax Sports Network.

The following day, Fairfield Volleyball hosts Rider for a noon doubleheader on the ESPN family of networks. The twin bill marks the final Fairfield Athletics action to take place on George Bisacca Court at Alumni Hall. The Stags’ March 21 doubleheader against Siena will be broadcast live from the Walsh Athletic Center on the Stags Sports Network.

Fairfield's field hockey and women’s soccer teams join the fray on March 9 for their respective home openers, both on Facebook Live. Nine days later, men’s soccer will host Quinnipiac on Facebook Live for its first of three slated home outings.

On the weekend of March 20-21, both Fairfield Baseball and Softball open their 2021 campaigns with a four-game MAAC series. All eight of those contests, along with the remainder of the 20-game home ledger for each squad, will all be broadcast live.

The Stags Sports Network is Fairfield Athletics’ in-house production team comprised of Athletics staff, the Fairfield University Media Center, Fairfield students, and freelance professionals. All games on the flagship Stags Sports Network, ESPN3, and Facebook Live are presented free of charge. Games on ESPN+ are included as part of a monthly subscription.

In addition to live broadcasts, fans can subscribe to the Stags Sports Network podcast feed and follow @StagsSportsNet on Twitter for exclusive content. For the most updated schedules – as well as scores, stats, features, information, and more – visit FairfieldStags.com.
