Learn about the careers and experiences of five alumni of the Master of Arts in Communication program, through a virtual panel to be held via Zoom on Thursday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m.
Alumni panelists at the upcoming Fairfield University master's in communication virtual information session on March 18 will include Janice Silva MA’20, a consumer technical insights and claims scientist at Unilever; Ryan Cassella MA’14, a producer at WWE specializing in international content; Erin Craw MA’19, a PhD student at Chapman University studying health and interpersonal communication; Kara Reynolds MA’12, a consultant for Yale Medicine; and Stephen Grayson MA’14, a senior government affairs analyst for NYU Langone Health.
"We have alumni working in cutting edge, competitive, and interesting careers," said event moderator Sean Horan, PhD, professor and chair in the Department of Communication. "They will speak uniquely about how the knowledge and skills obtained in the MA program helped set them up for success."
The online event is open to current Fairfield undergraduates as well as the general public.
"Communication remains an in-demand job skill," said Dr. Horan. "Our MA in Communication program blends theory and practice, allowing students to leave with evidence-based recommendations for practice. Grounding their practice with evidence allows them to be successful. It is through their careers that they serve as translators of knowledge, and knowledge-guided practice is ever important."
