Stags Athletics is back in action this week, as the Fairfield women’s soccer team takes the pitch to kick off the 2021-22 schedule. The Stags hosted LIU at Lessing Field on Thursday, Aug. 19 to begin the fall season. That game will be followed by a three-match road swing at Northeastern, Harvard, and UMass Lowell.

Women’s soccer is the first of four fall teams poised to begin their season in the coming weeks. Men’s soccer opens the year next Thursday, Aug. 26 at Albany before starting the home slate on Friday, Sept. 3 with a 7 p.m. visit from Yale.

Field hockey also starts the campaign on the road, traveling to Saint Joseph’s in Philadelphia on Friday, Aug. 27 and Albany on Sunday, Aug. 29. The home schedule for the Stags starts on Friday, Sept. 3 against Monmouth at 4 p.m.

Opening their slate the farthest from North Benson Road is Fairfield's volleyball team, which heads to Honolulu for three matches at the University of Hawaii on Aug 27-29. The following weekend, the Stags return to campus to host the Fairfield Invitational, inside the RecPlex on Sept. 3-4.

Currently, all home games in all sports are open to the public. Tickets for men’s and women’s soccer are on sale at FairfieldStags.com/TIX. Admission is free for field hockey and volleyball.

Fans who cannot make it to campus can tune into the Stags Sports Network for a live broadcast of every Fairfield Athletics home game.

Masks are required for entry to all indoor facilities on campus, regardless of vaccination status. Fairfield Athletics will continue to abide by CDC, campus, and local guidelines. Visit FairfieldStags.com for updated information.
