From a conversation with Melissa Bernstein, author and co-founder of toy company Melissa & Doug, to a discussion with a current senior and recent alumnae about their job searches and career experiences thus far, many upcoming events aim to recognize, celebrate, and honor the women of Fairfield.
While Fairfield will continue to honor and celebrate our female Stags every day, as the 2020-21 academic year draws to a close, the University has several events lined up to round out the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Women at Fairfield:

Jessica Mindich, "Guns: The Ultimate in Feminine Protection?"
Tuesday, April 27 at 7 p.m.

Her collection of jewelry, art, and lighting – made from illegal guns and the metal from the shell casings from some of the toughest cities in America like Hartford, Newark, and Detroit – raised money to fund gun buybacks and amnesty programs. Mindich will share how she got involved in gun violence prevention, her experiences working in the male-dominated world of crime prevention, and her ideas on how to engage the public by offering hope. Presented by the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, this event is free and open to the public.
