Fairfield University nutrition professors and students will share insights about good nutrition and physical activity during a virtual Zoom discussion.
Fairfield University nutrition professors are inviting the Fairfield community to a virtual Zoom discussion to share guidance about healthy eating and physical activity during the quarantine. Visiting assistant professor and director of Public Health Kimberly Doughty, MPH, PhD, CHES; visiting professor and director of Clinical Nutrition Janet Hiser, MOE, RDN, CNSC, FAND; and dietician Mackenzie Gordon, MS, RDN, LDN will lead this timely virtual conversation on Wednesday, May 20 at 4 p.m.
Virtual guests will have the opportunity to learn about intuitive eating, strategies for creating a healthy environment at home, and resources for being physically active that can be carried forward to life after quarantine. Attendees will also be able to submit questions before the event to be answered by Fairfield's distinguished panelists.
The professors will be joined by students Natalie Gammer ‘21 and Daniella Recchia ’21, who were both enrolled in the "Fundamentals of Nutrition" course. These students will share a unique perspective about their experiences studying abroad in Florence, Italy when the pandemic began.
This virtual event is open to the entire Fairfield community. Registration is required.
