Dear Fairfield Dolan Community,

The mission of the Dolan School of Business is to develop “innovative, principled, and globally-minded business leaders for a better world through transformative experiences of modern Jesuit Catholic education.” In this issue of the newsletter, you will see the innovativeness of our Dolan faculty, staff, and students in delivering the Jesuit mission of the University, particularly during the unprecedented time of Covid-19.

After the shelter-in-place was effective, our faculty relied on their innovativeness and creativity to convert all classes to remote learning under tremendous time pressure. They overcame many unprecedented obstacles and challenges to ensure the academic progress of our students. Dolan staff converted all academic and career development advising and events online as well, thanks to their business continuity planning. Our faculty and staff worked creatively to conduct the Fairfield StartUp Showcase virtually, which attracted great audience participation from near and far.

In terms of curricular and programmatic development, you will see the launch of innovative programs such as the MS in Management, MS in Marketing Analytics and Strategy, and the MSN/MBA Dual Degree Program, as well as new delivery modality of the MSBA and MBA. We have also entered an innovative co-op pilot program with Synchrony Financial, a Fortune 500 company.

The newsletter also highlights the success of our students in gaining prestigious employment positions and in joining prominent non-profits and NGOs to carry out our social responsibility mission of the University.
