Discover all the upcoming events this May and June at the Fairfield University Art Museum! Listings, all of which are free and open to the public, include gallery talks, lectures, and meditation.
The Fairfield University Art Museum (FUAM) is a dynamic space for engagement with the visual arts on the campus of Fairfield University. In its Bellarmine Hall Galleries, FUAM presents a small but choice permanent collection of European and American paintings, drawings, prints and photographs, as well as Asian, African, and Pre-Columbian objects.
Two exhibitions are currently on view: The Artist Collects: Highlights From the James Reed Collection in the Walsh Gallery now through June 8, a celebration of the transformative gift of the James Reed Collection of Old Master, 19th-century, and modern prints to the Fairfield University Art Museum; and Hildreth Meière: The Art of Commerce now through Sept. 21 in the Bellarmine Hall Gallery. Hildreth Meière was a prolific muralist whose commissioned works adorn the walls and ceilings of public buildings from New York to California.
