Fairfield Volleyball will make its 11th trip to the NCAA Championship tonight.
For the 11th time in program history and the fourth time in the last five seasons, Fairfield University Volleyball has gained a berth in the NCAA Championship. The Stags won the MAAC Championship on Nov. 24, taking a 3-1 decision over in-state conference rival Quinnipiac, to earn their return trip to the national stage.
Fairfield will play #7 Minnesota (23-5 17-3 Big Ten) tonight at 8 p.m. (ET) in Minneapolis – the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The action will be broadcast live on BTN+.
Fairfield University Volleyball extended its own conference record with its 11th MAAC Championship win. Individually, Head Coach Todd Kress claimed his conference-best sixth MAAC crown after also being chosen by his peers as the MAAC Coach of the Year for a record seventh time. The Stags enter the NCAA Championship with an overall record of 24-5, and finished the MAAC slate at 17-1.
