How to Waive Insurance
Please visit after June 15 for instructions on how to waive the University-sponsored insurance.
- To qualify for the waiver, the student's health insurance policy must meet or exceed the coverage provided by the University-sponsored plan.
- The policy must also be written and filed in the United States and allow for coverage at physicians' offices, laboratories, emergency centers, and pharmacies in the State of Connecticut.
All full-time undergraduate, graduate, and second-degree nursing students are required to maintain health insurance. If the student already has insurance and does not need the University-sponsored health insurance policy, a waiver must be completed.
Please contact healthinsurance@fairfield.edu to enroll in the student health insurance plan outside of the open period or with any questions.
The waiver for the 2026-27 academic year will be available in mid-June. The deadline to waive is Friday, September 18, 2026.
