Former FUSA President Returns to Fairfield

Are you getting the most out of Fairfield? Want to start getting more out of it all right now? On Monday, January 27 at 7 p.m. in the Barone Campus Center, alumnus Michael Miller '87 will help fellow Stags accomplish that goal.

Always humorous and sometimes wild, Michael Miller insists on getting audiences completely involved. His goal is to help participants understand that the only way to get what you want is to know what you want. During the hour he will share specific tips on how to start making more of our time both personally and professionally. His intensity will stay with and motivate participants to achieve their goals while having a lot of fun.

A member of the Class of 1987, and former FUSA President, Michael spent the 10 years after graduation working in various capacities within Student Affairs at Loyola University Chicago, Quinnipiac, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and Framingham State College. Today, Michael is in high demand, using that knowledge to work with schools across the country in excess of 200 nights a year.

Thankfully, he has graciously agreed to return to Fairfield University to help us get more out of life by getting us to think differently. “Michael isn’t just a motivational speaker, he’s an alum who understands and truly cares about Fairfield University,” said current FUSA President, Alex Long ’14. “We're thrilled to have him return and encourage students to get the most out of their time as undergraduates. Quite often, we get caught up in daily routines and rarely find the time to set goals or reflect on our experiences. Michael creates an atmosphere in which students, faculty, and staff can take a step back and evaluate their priorities for the coming semester.”

Whether a first-year student or a senior preparing to launch a career, Michael will provide advice to all that will last a lifetime. Note: While the content is geared to students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

Will you have the nerve to answer the “What do you want?” question honestly?  Find out on Monday, January 27 at 7 p.m. in the Barone Campus Center, Lower Level.
