Fairfield continues its partnership with the Norma Pfriem Breast Center.

Fairfield Athletics has kicked off its annual Herd for a Cure initiative to benefit the Norma Pfriem Breast Center. Stags across all of Fairfield’s 20 varsity sports will participate in the department-wide fundraising effort.

Men’s soccer opened the 2019-20 edition of the partnership this past Wednesday in conjunction with its MAAC opener against visiting Rider. This weekend, volleyball will host it Herd for a Cure match during Sunday’s visit from defending conference champion Iona.

Rounding out the fall slate, Women’s soccer hosts its event on Oct. 12, and field hockey will celebrate Herd for a Cure on Oct. 18. Dates for winter and spring sports will be announced in the coming weeks on FairfieldStags.com.

Fans at designated Herd for a Cure events can purchase t-shirts and raffle tickets, or make a donation, with all proceeds to benefit the Norma Pfriem Breast Center. Last year, the Stags raised more than $4,000 for the Center.
