On March 28, 2019, the Fairfield Awards Dinner, Fairfield’s flagship fundraising event for scholarship, will celebrate inclusive excellence at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
Since 1988, this annual event has been a true celebration of Fairfield and has raised more than $18 million for the Alumni Multicultural Scholarship Fund and other endowed scholarships.
“I first attended the dinner in Spring 2015 at the encouragement of one of my Fairfield mentors, who has been attending for more than a decade," said young alumnus Dominic Paolino ’14, a 2019 Fairfield Awards Dinner Committee Member. "He highlighted the evening as not only a wonderful opportunity to recognize distinguished alumni and network with fellow Stags, but also as an opportunity to support the Multicultural Scholarship Fund.”
Last year, more than 500 alumni, parents, students, and friends of the University came together for the Awards Dinner. They reunited with their Fairfield family, forged new connections, honored outstanding members of the University community, and supported scholarship to create possibilities for future generations of Stags.
Continuing to recognize professional achievement, outstanding leadership, and volunteer commitment to Fairfield, this year’s Fairfield Awards Dinner will honor:
Sheila Kearney Davidson ’83
Executive Vice President and General Counsel, New York Life: Alumni Professional Achievement Award
Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. ’73: Alumni Service Award
Shannon M. Harding, PhD, P’14
Associate Professor of Psychology: Distinguished Faculty/Administrator Award
Anne Harris, P’18: Parent Leadership Award
Once the evening’s program and dinner have concluded, the Fairfield University Alumni Association will host an after-party where alumnus comedian Joe DeVito '90 of NBC's Last Comic Standing fame will perform. “A big part of comedy is shared experiences, so it’ll be fun to talk about memories from our Fairfield days. I may name names,” DeVito said about what guests can expect from his stand-up routine.
