Q+A
For donors who help make a Fairfield experience possible, provide financial aid and scholarships, and invest in faculty and staff advancement, please share a THANK YOU message.
Thank you to all of Fairfield’s donors! Fairfield is such a special place, and the generosity of our donors is a big reason. The way they have enhanced the student athlete experience as well as Fairfield University as a whole has been greater than anything I could have imagined when I first came here.
What was your favorite memory from this past season?
My favorite memory from this past season was winning the MAAC championship with my team. The morning after winning the Championship we all jumped in the freezing ocean that was outside of our hotel in Atlantic City - players, coaches, even some other staff and family members. I remember just being so proud of our team and all of the hard work that we put in, starting all the way back in summer workouts.
What I most enjoyed about being a member of a Fairfield University Athletics team?
What I most enjoyed about being a member of a Fairfield University Athletics team was meeting so many great people who ended up becoming family to me. From my team, to other athletes, to administrators and staff members, there are so many special people at Fairfield who I know I will keep in touch with for years to come.
My favorite Fairfield memory was….
My favorite Fairfield memory was spending summers in Fairfield with my team. There’s something so special about being in our own little bubble in Fairfield over the summer, where we get to live together, play basketball, and spend all of our free time with each other. There isn’t really another time in life where I’ll get to experience something like that, so those are memories that I’ll always be grateful for.
How my experience at Fairfield University influenced my life and perspective…
My experience at Fairfield had a huge influence on my perspective in life because I saw just how important it is to surround yourself with good people. It really is true that the people make the place. Life is full of ups and downs, from academic stress, to hard practices, to personal challenges, and having a group of people that you genuinely love and look forward to seeing every day is a safe space that you can always depend on.
My career goals / future plans are….
To begin my career as a registered nurse, find a place where there is a strong sense of community, and stay where I find good people. The great part about nursing is there are so many opportunities and paths to find where you truly belong, so I’m looking forward to having that experience.
