The Stags will play host Coastal Carolina in the NCAA Conway Regional on Friday, May 30, at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.

Fairfield University Baseball went 3-0 this past weekend at Clover Stadium in Pomona, N.Y., sweeping the competition to win the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship. The Stags claimed their second tournament title – the first since 2016 – and earned the third NCAA postseason berth in program history.

The Stags defeated Sacred Heart to open tournament action and then knocked off top-seeded Rider in both the semifinal and final rounds of the double-elimination bracket. Nolan Colby ’28 had the biggest hit of the weekend with a two-out solo home run in the top of the 10th inning in the championship game, propelling Fairfield to a 7-6 victory.

Matthew Bucciero ’26 was named the MAAC Championship MVP, batting .500 with six runs batted in over the three-game span.

With the tournament victory, Fairfield earned a berth in the NCAA Conway Regional hosted by Coastal Carolina University. The Stags will play the host Chanticleers on Friday at 6 p.m. in Myrtle Beach. The opposite side of the bracket features the University of Florida and East Carolina University.

Fairfield’s last NCAA postseason appearance was an at-large bid to the NCAA Austin Regional during the historic 2021 campaign. The Stags won two games in that tournament to reach the regional final against the host University of Texas.

All three of Fairfield’s NCAA Tournament appearances and both MAAC Championship crowns in program history have come under the direction of 14th-year head coach Bill Currier.
