Christopher Kenney, MBA ’25 and 2025 30 Under 30 Awardee demonstrates the importance of building a network and leading with ambition in the workplace.

For Christopher Kenney, MBA ’25, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Fairfield Dolan was an opportunity for him to better himself in his career and create a “generational footprint” for those who follow him. As a first-generation college student, Kenney viewed the MBA program as both a business decision and personal decision – a testament to his drive and passion for the field of marketing and communications.

Kenney received Fairfield Dolan’s 2025 30 Under 30 Award, which recognizes students who demonstrate “whole person” achievements reflecting the University’s Jesuit tradition of education of the mind, body and spirit. He is a resilient and determined professional making a significant impact in communications and social advocacy.

Kenney strives to build meaningful relationships in the workplace. He believes that when you take on more, you prove that you can do more-- and then the possibilities in the workplace are endless. Having his MBA equips him with the skillset to catalyze him toward work and professional growth opportunities.

In his professional capacity, Kenney works at L'Oréal Groupe, supporting the North America Chief Corporate Affairs and Engagement Officer. Kenney contributes to impactful initiatives such as Essence Communications Festival of Culture and L'Oréal For Women in Science.  Prior to joining L'Oréal, he honed his skills at the Estee Lauder Companies and AB InBev, where he championed diversity, equity, and inclusion in the marketing and communications space.

At L'Oréal Groupe Kenney will continue to lead and support marketing and communications campaigns, now having his MBA from Fairfield Dolan.

Leaving an impact in his personal life is a high priority. He is an active advocate for LGBTQ+IA rights. He continues to serve on the Advisory Board for Equality NY while volunteering with SAGE as a friendly visitor- an integral part of his life. Kenney believes in the importance of hearing other people’s stories to understand how far we have come as a community, as well as to identify areas of concern. He believes listening to others comes first, before any advocacy work in action.
