Introducing Fairfield Bellarmine
In the Jesuit tradition of serving urban communities and opening access to education for all, Bellarmine will offer strong professional preparation and enhanced academic support to low-income and first-generation students in Bridgeport and surrounding Connecticut communities. Grounded in a rigorous liberal arts tradition, students will pursue a two-year associate’s degree, following their choice among four academic track options: business, computer science, liberal studies, or health studies. Graduates will be prepared to either pursue further studies toward a bachelor’s degree or embark on a meaningful professional career.
Named after St. Robert Bellarmine, S.J., the patron saint of Fairfield University, this new academic division of Fairfield will welcome the first cohort of up to 100 talented students to its Bellarmine Campus in Bridgeport, Conn., for the 2023-24 academic year.

Students enrolled in Fairfield Bellarmine will complete college credits toward a two-year associate’s degree, taking courses that align with Fairfield University’s academic concentrations, satisfy our Magis Core Curriculum, and meet Connecticut state articulation requirements for degree completion.
