Our mission is to help students deepen their connection to both the School of Education and Human Development and their chosen profession—offering intentional guidance that integrates career readiness with purpose, reflection, and Jesuit values.

Grounded in the principles of ethical practice, competence, and care for the whole person, the Career Suite supports students in becoming reflective, resilient, and service-oriented professionals prepared to make meaningful contributions in their fields.

Our Services

Internships & Professional Development

The School of Education and Human Development offers teaching internships for both non-certified and certified teachers studying for a master’s degree or sixth-year certificate of advanced study at Fairfield. The internship gives you a year of full-time, hands-on experience in a public school setting and a stipend towards your studies.

The Career Suite and Professional Formation Center provides students opportunities to build the confidence and skills you need to shine in interviews, while also offering support and guidance on securing, preparing for, and succeeding in your field placements — whether it be in a practicum or internship setting.
