FAIRFIELD, Conn., (November 3, 2015) — In addition to the many career development programs for students in the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, Fairfield University and Bank of America have partnered to bring the school’s well-known Professional Development Series to the next level.

The Professional Development Series is a comprehensive program designed to give the Dolan School of Business undergraduates a competitive edge in a challenging job market. The Series consists of events and workshops designed to supplement a student's academic development throughout their four years at Fairfield and provide a structured forum for students to gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and networking strategies to leverage their business education into a productive career.

The Series consists of four levels; Bank of America is underwriting the third and fourth levels, which supports juniors and seniors. These programs focus on networking skills with alumni currently employed with Bank of America, internship possibilities and transitioning from college to post-graduate professional life.

“The Charles F. Dolan School of Business provides a strong foundation for students who are looking to pursue a career in business,” said Bill Tommins, Bank of America Southern Connecticut market president. “We hope to see strong enrollment in the Professional Development Series and look forward to seeing how students leverage the program to build a successful career.”

Most recently, Bank of America collaborated with Fairfield to host a Career Night, where business students were able to network with top professionals and gain valuable professional advice. In February, students will participate in a “Mock Interview Day,” where business professionals will be on campus to coach students on improving fundamental interviewing skills, with students participating in a mock interview for a specific job posting related to their desired career goals.  There are several lectures planned, as well, and students in the series will receive their first professional business cards, free of charge.
