The StagCard is your key to many opportunities at Fairfield and should be downloaded and active on your primary mobile or wearable device while on campus. Your mobile credential serves as your secure contactless key for laundry, meals, the library, printing, and your debit card. It also functions as an ID that qualifies students for discounts at the bookstore and other venues.

Services Access
The StagBucks debit account is an optional prepaid account available to all Stags. Funds deposited can be spent seamlessly via a contactless tap at the University Bookstore, the Center for Student Involvement (for discounted Broadway tickets), campus vending machines, and favorite local off-campus merchants. This account will also act as a backup safety net, automatically covering transactions if your Dining Dollars or laundry allotments are completely depleted.

All University computer labs are locked 24 hours a day; you must tap your Mobile StagCard to unlock the door. General usage labs are located in the DiMenna-Nyselius Library, Dolan School of Business, and Donnarumma Hall.
A prepaid laundry allotment is provided to all Stags residing in University housing. Each resident living in the residence halls, village apartments, or townhouses receives 80 contactless cycles per semester preloaded onto their profile.
- To activate a washer or dryer, simply tap your phone or wearable device against the reader pad.
- These cycles are non-transferable to future semesters. If you run out of cycles before the semester concludes, the system will automatically utilize your available StagBucks balance.
Your meal plan unlocks meals, coffee, snacks, and more, at four locations across campus. Your plan includes standard Meal Swipes and flexible Dining Dollars, which update in real-time right inside your eAccounts app. Please note that chosen meal plans may take up to 24 hours to sync to your digital wallet following registration or adjustment.
StagPrint is our campus-wide cloud printing system powered by WEPA kiosks. Simply tap your phone on the printer's proximity reader to securely pull your documents from the cloud.
- All full-time undergraduate students receive a $25.00 print value per semester.
- All other students receive $5.00 per registered course.
- These programmatic balances do not carry over across semesters or academic years.
WEPA kiosks are located throughout campus. To find a kiosk near you, visit wepanow.com/maps and search for "Fairfield, CT".

StagCard Terms and Conditions
The StagCard is your all-access pass to life at Fairfield and is intended to be used the entire time you are a Stags family member. In our commitment to sustainability and modern convenience, Fairfield University has transitioned to digital credentials. Your card must be active on your device at all times while on campus and must be presented to University officials upon request. It is non-transferable and is the main means of accessing your accounts, meal plans, and secure campus spaces.
Because your card is digital, your accounts remain safe behind your phone’s biometrics (FaceID/Passcode). However, if your phone goes missing, you must report it immediately to safeguard campus security.
- Deactivation: You can instantly suspend your digital token yourself via the eAccounts app.
- In-Person Help: During business hours, visit the StagCard Office in BCC 110.
- Replacement Fees: Re-downloading your digital credential to a new or replacement smartphone is completely free of charge. A $25.00 fee applies exclusively to the replacement of physical exception cards that are lost, stolen, or damaged due to neglect.
Cardholders are liable for transactions on their account until the credential is formally reported missing via eAccounts, Public Safety, or the StagCard Office. Once reported, the token is permanently revoked. If you find a phone that was previously deactivated, you must visit the StagCard Office in person to securely push a fresh, active credential token back to your wallet.
The University will disclose information to third parties only when required to comply with subpoenas, court orders, or other applicable legal agreements or if the account holder gives permission through a written request.
Remaining balances will be displayed dynamically on point-of-sale terminals and inside your mobile app wallet. Upon graduation, official withdrawal, or resignation from Fairfield University, remaining StagBucks balances will be automatically refunded to you, minus a standard $25.00 processing fee. Inactive accounts left stagnant for over 12 months may be closed in accordance with University policy. The StagCard Office can always provide a balance. [LINK HERE WAS BROKEN, FINAL SENTENCE CUT].
Under normal conditions, the cardholder will not be able to overdraw an account. If, under certain unusual circumstances, an insufficient funds condition occurs, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to provide restitution. If the condition is not cleared, the insufficient funds amount will remain negative, and the account will be rendered unusable, and/or the University may seek recovery from the cardholder.
The University will refund the cardholder’s remaining StagBucks balance upon graduation or withdrawal/resignation from Fairfield University. Refunds will be generated automatically after the individual is officially separated from the University. All refunds will be issued for a $25 processing fee.
No interest or other earnings will be paid to the cardholder or credited by Fairfield University for funds held in StagBucks accounts. Funds are deposited at the cardholder's discretion. There is a $25 fee for returned checks. Once the account is activated by making a deposit, any balance on the account will carry over from semester to semester, or year to year, as long as the individual remains enrolled at or employed by Fairfield University. No refunds will be made prior to graduation or withdrawal/resignation. StagBucks are different from "dining dollars" and funds cannot be transferred between these two accounts.
Students who select a meal plan with associated Dining Dollars have the pre-determined amount of Dining Dollars on a semester basis only. Therefore, any balance in the Dining Dollars account does not transfer or carry over from semester to semester, or year to year. Unused meal plan value does not carry forward to future weeks (weekly meal plans) or semesters (block meal plans). No refunds will be given for unused meals or Dining Dollars values.
As soon as a cardholder believes that there is a discrepancy or would like information about a discrepancy, the cardholder should contact the StagCard Office immediately. The communication must include (1) the cardholder's name and Fairfield ID number, (2) a description of the transaction in question and the discrepancy, and (3) the dollar amount of the transaction. The StagCard Office will inform the cardholder of the disposition of the matter within 10 business days after notification from the cardholder and will correct any error promptly. If the StagCard Office determines that there was no error, the cardholder will receive a written or verbal explanation for the determination. The cardholder may request copies of documentation used in the review.
The University reserves the right to charge a monthly service fee for a StagBucks account that has been inactive for at least 12 months. Accounts inactive for 12 months or more may be closed and the account balance will become the property of Fairfield University.
The University reserves the right to establish daily limits on privileges to minimize misuse of funds on a lost or stolen card.
The University may change any term or part of this policy by sending a written or electronic notice to the cardholder at least 30 days before the change is to become effective. The use of the StagCard on or after the effective date of change means that the participant accepts and agrees to the change. The University may apply any such change to the outstanding balance of the StagBucks account on the effective date of the change of terms and to new charges after that date. The cardholder's use of their StagCard indicates acceptance of the terms of this cardholder agreement.
Over time, the cards can become worn, damaged, or unreadable. Cards damaged due to normal or reasonable wear and tear will be replaced at no cost to the cardholder. The StagCard Office reserves the right to assess the $25 replacement fee for replacement of a card damaged due to neglect, misuse, or improper care, at the office's discretion.
