We met through common classes and friends. After Charlie’s graduation, he found a job on campus working in the IT department. We happened to run into each other outside of the RecPlex and made plans to meet up later that week.
We pretty much spent every weekend together until I graduated that spring and moved back home to Virginia. Charlie surprised me with a visit over the summer, which started trips between Virginia and Connecticut until Charlie moved to Virginia early the next year. This is our 31st Valentine’s Day together, and we are coming up on our 30th anniversary in September. We are blessed with four wonderful children and have welcomed a son-in-law into our family. Whenever we have the opportunity to head north, we love to drive through campus and see the amazing things happening at Fairfield!
