Fairfield University’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts is thrilled to welcome back Steven Rivellino on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. for a new illustrated presentation of the colorful history of Berlin cabaret and its impact on society and politics in Germany at the beginning of the last century.

Rivellino’s lecture, “Berlin Cabaret 1920s – 1940s. The Mythical Decadence of Weimar Cabaret,” is part of Fairfield University’s Open VISIONS Forum: Espresso series.

Rivellino is an executive producer, creative director, and a former vice president and general manager of New York’s Radio City Music Hall. His Tony Award-winning Broadway productions include Angels in AmericaThe Ferryman, and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton. Rivellino is also the author of two books: Mysterious Places, Mysterious Dreams: A Novel Memoir, and Bright Lights, Big Changes: Transatlantic Theatre at the Turn of Our Century.

Upon the success of last year’s spring lecture as part of the Open VISIONS Forum: Espresso series, Rivellino was invited by Fairfield University to become a senior fellow in the College of Arts and Sciences for the 2022-23 season. Rivellino has been lecturing worldwide on theatrical production and entertainment management for 25 years, and continues to share his knowledge on the ever-changing nature of production, commercial theatre, and all-things Broadway. As a senior fellow, Rivellino leads master class conversations with Fairfield University students and lectures as part of the OVF: Espresso series.
