FAIRFIELD, Conn. (November 13, 2017) — Back by popular demand after performing to a sold-out theatre last season, audience favorite John Pizzarelli returns to the Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University, alongside wife and Broadway star Jessica Molaskey, for a special holiday performance. The duo will take the stage with his acclaimed Trio to perform holiday classics and favorites from the Great American Songbook at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 3.

John Pizzarelli has produced more than 20 solo albums and appeared on albums with dozens of other recording artists. He started playing at age six, following in the tradition of his father, the legendary jazz guitarist, Bucky Pizzarelli. With over 36 years of performances under his belt, he shows no sign of slowing down.

The Boston Globe credits Pizzarelli with “reinvigorating the Great American Songbook and re-popularizing jazz” and the Seattle Times describes him as “a rare entertainer of the old school.”

Jessica Molaskey is a professional actor and singer who has performed in dozens of musicals both on and off Broadway. For almost a decade she and John have performed at the Cafe Carlyle in New York City. Stephen Holden's review in The New York Times proclaimed, "At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, I would call them the supreme nightclub act of our time."  They also co-host a nationally syndicated weekly two-hour radio program called Radio Deluxe from their Lexington Avenue living room.

Whether you’re a fan of the old school, new school, or just enjoy holiday concerts with your family, you won’t want to miss John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 3 p.m.

In addition to the concert, the Quick has partnered with the Fairfield University Student Alumni Association in support of their 19 th Annual Teddy Bears with Love Drive. The students will collect new teddy bears and stuffed animals (or monetary donations to purchase the toys) to be distributed to local children’s hospitals and charities across the country this holiday season.

This concert event is sponsored by Abbey Tent & Party Rentals, Dan Perkins Subaru, Honda of Westport, and the Westport Inn. Tickets are $60, $50 | $38 for Quick Center Members.
