Fairfield University is Among Best in the Nation by Time’s Money Magazine | Press Releases

FAIRFIELD, Conn., (July 17, 2017) — Fairfield University has been included among the best higher education institutions in the country by Time’s Money Magazine . The “Best for Your Money” ranking also puts the University in the Top 5 in Connecticut and the top Catholic institution in the state.

According to Money Magazine , the rankings were drawn from “top experts in education who chose schools based on education quality, financing, and value” to develop a new, uniquely practical analysis of the nation’s best-performing colleges. Fairfield University is ranked 186 out of nearly 2,500 schools nationwide considered for the ranking.

“This is an exciting time for Fairfield,” said interim Provost, Christine Siegel, PhD. “We continue to be a national leader in academic offerings, receive prestigious accreditations, and this year we set a record for the most applications in the school’s history. Our focus is on the whole student experience, and we’re honored that we are being recognized among the best of the best.”

In addition to new academic programs, the University is undertaking $85.5 million in new facilities and campus updates, including a new facility for The Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies, a new dining commons, and a new dormitory, among others.
